All licensed Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario must have completed a minimum of seven years of post-secondary education. This includes a minimum of three years of medical sciences, followed by four years of full-time study at an accredited Collge of Naturopathic Medicine.

In addition to the above education, all Naturopathic Doctors have around 1500 hours of supervised clinical education.

In Ontario, the Naturopathic Doctor must be licensed and registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy (BDDT-N) to ensure that they are qualified to practice Naturopathic Medicine.
